Alpha Analytical, Inc. employs state-of-the-art equipment in an effort to reliably and quickly address both the laboratory’s and client’s needs for tagging, processing, and reporting the multitude of information associated around the daily analytical processes. Our network of computers offers our laboratory immediate access to our informational databases for the complete structure of analytical processes, from sample receipt and login, through extraction and analysis, to report writing and archiving. We employ various full time personnel to ensure that this network remains accessible and contains the most current data available. Our client’s needs are addressed through personalized service in formatting custom specifications for analytical, report, and database requirements. We strive to follow the federal Good Automated Laboratory Practices (GALP) guidelines and maintain offsite duplication of our databases and instrument raw data in case of catastrophic events.

AAI’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), is a Sequel-based database that is designed to be an end-to-end solution for tracking samples from login through report writing.  Alpha uses Khemia’s Omega Version 11 LIMS to assist in setting up projects, defining project specific requirements (list of analytes and their reporting limits), internal sample management, laboratory prep, sample analyses, and data reporting.

AAI’s unique ability to offer multiple project-specific requirements, required reporting formats and specialized Electronic Disk Deliverables (EDDs) are all facilitated through our specialized LIMS.  Automating the interface between the instruments and the LIMS is a requirement in today’s world where there is little to no room for transcription errors. AAI continually works to improve and develop a robust and automated system to better serve both our clients and our internal workflow.
